Vale D'Algares won two gold medals at the 2010 International Wine Chelenge
The world’s most prestigious and influential independent wine competition – the International Wine Challenge (IWC) – With a record number of 46 wine producing countries entering the 2010 Challenge. The top three Gold medal countries, Australia, France and Portugal third collecting 35.

Vale D'Algares, a Portuguese winery from Tejo region will be at Prowein 2010
Vale D'Algares, a new portuguese winery in the Tejo region (http://www.cvrtejo.pt/index.shtml?lang=en) will be present at Prowein 2010. Our main goals is to establish partnerships with wine distributers or retail chains in Germany, France, Poland, Tchec Republic or in other countries that we are not present yet. You will find us in Pavilion 6 at Viniportugal island 6K40 Stand 27.

Vale D'Algares distinguished in the event The best of 2009 annual awards of the Portuguese wine magazine "Revista de Vinhos"
The night of 12 February marked another large party of Portuguese wine. In Campo Pequeno’ in Lisbon, took place on this year's annual awards of the Portuguese wine magazine "Revista de Vinhos".Vale D'Algares Selection White 2008 considered one of the best wines from our region.

Sarah Ahmed chose Vale D'Algares "Selection" White 2007, from Tejo region, as one of its 50 major Portuguese wines
The 50 Great Portuguese Wines are always chosen by Portugal’s journalist of the year chosen by the APWI (Association of Portuguese Wine Importers) from UK. From the new “Selection” range Vale D'Algares presents his new red wine from 2007, the Vale D’Algares “Selection” Red 2007
After the "Selection" 2008 White is the turn of the new "Selection" Red 2007. This wine segment should reinforce the presence of Val D'Algares in a more demanding market, the “Selection” are between Guard Rios and the higher level Brand (Viognier).
Created by the winemaker Eng. Pedro Pereira Gonçalves, the "Selection" Red is the results of different wine-making processes that aim to achieve a broader public aware of new products, more demanding and more knowledgeable, like to share a good wine with friends, have an active social life and are a regular presence in restaurants. The positioning of the new wine is super-premium.
This Regional Tejo wine, which was produced 6400 bottles, was produced in limestone and clay soils on a Valley, the clime are Mediterranean with influence of Tagus River and the harvest was done to manual boxes of 12kg. We use carpet choice of bunches and barriers with partial crushing, cold soak for 12 hours with punch down, alcoholic fermentation 10 days in rock tanks “Lagares” with(5mx5mx0,5m) and French oak vats, aged 14 months in new French oak barrels, the varietals used are Merlot (60%) and Touriga Nacional (40%) This wine has an alcohol content of 14.5 º and must be served to 18.

VALE D'ALGARES IN THE FRONT LINE OF SOCIAL MEDIA
We will be attending at The 2009 European Wine Bloggers Conference (EWBC) with a wine tasting that will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, from October 30 – November 1, 2009. Bringing together bloggers of all backgrounds including: winemakers, wine writers, marketers, foodies, retailers and distributors from around the world, this year’s conference will address, “The Future of the Social Wine Brand”.
